Working Methods - Philosophy Alce Harfield works in acrylic and mixed media on paper, canvas and sometimes using relief materials to heighten impact. She specialises in landscapes with imposing skies, contemporary abstracts, florals, cityscapes and seascapes. Infuenced by the nature of colour and its juxtaposition with form she is inspired by Wallasse Ting, J M W Turner, Jake Sutton and Pablo Picasso. She works straight from the travels in her head, rarely sketching, preferring to explode the colour directly onto the canvas or paper.
